Presenter: Dr. Allyson Davys

Date: Thursday, September 8th, 2022 4:00PM (NY Time)

Description: In this webinar, Dr. Allyson Davys will present a framework for ‘courageous conversations’ in supervision. Courageous conversations are generally emotionally charged and require courage and skill to navigate. Typically, in supervision these conversations concern issues such as ethics, boundary violations, supervisee competence, the supervision process, or the relationship between supervisor and supervisee. The webinar will highlight the importance of building a supervision environment where courageous conversations can occur. It will identify skills supervisors can use on these occasions and will present a framework for conducting the conversation.  When the expectations and parameters of supervision are clear and when there is a shared understanding of the supervision process, challenging issues can be addressed while maintaining the integrity and dignity of all concerned.
