Gökhan Atik is primarily focused on methods and techniques in clinical supervision, and supervisor training to improve the supervision practices in Turkey. He contributes to the implementation of individual counseling practicum at the undergraduate and graduate programs in counseling in his department and supervises students. He teaches a doctoral course in supervision in his doctoral program. He is in a volunteer working group for determining the standards for individual counseling practicum and its supervision in Turkey. He also served as an event organizer and trainer in “Supervisor Training in the Field of Counseling” to contribute to strengthening the supervisor competencies and supervisor identities of young counselor educators at universities in Turkey. The training team aims to continue expanding this training in Turkey.
