Liz Beddoe, PhD, MA (Social Work)

Professor, School of Counselling, Human Services and Social Work
University of Auckland, NEW ZEALAND

Liz Beddoe teaches and supervises doctoral candidates and has been active as an educator in supervisor education since 1996. Her research is focused on professional identity, education, and supervision in social work. She has a strong interest in critical perspectives on supervision: How can supervision meet the needs of population diversity, promote social justice and human rights? She also provides mentoring to early career social work educators and academics. Liz is the author of numerous books and articles.

When not teaching and writing, Liz loves fiction (especially time travel, dystopias, and Irish detectives, not necessarily all at once), gardening, and connecting with international colleagues on social media. @BeddoeE
